South Coast Classic Tour

Our classical South Coast tour will take you on a journey through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Iceland including waterfalls, like Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, the Black Sand Beach with its dramatic basalt columns and powerful waves and Dyrhólaey, home to puffins from June to August. We will take you through the lava field of Hellisheiði and continue through the southern farmland with view on a clear day to one of Icelands impressive volcano, Hekla. We continue towards Iceland’s most famous volcano Eyjafjallajökull glacier which interrupted travellers throughout Europe back in 2010. Our first stop will be Skógafoss, a stunning waterfall with a 200 - foot, (60 meters) drop that have been used as a backdrop in films such as Thor - The Dark WorldGame of Thrones, and more. Next we will visit the beautiful Kvernufoss also to be found at the site of Skogar. We continue through the glacial landscape of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Icelands 4th biggest glacier to the Black Sand Beach Reynisfjara, known for its basalt columns, caves, and the impressive basalt stacks Reynisdrangar, just off the shore. Our journey continues to Dyrhólaey, a massive cliff with its lighthouse and a natural arch in the ocean and a home to puffins. Our last stop is at the picturesque waterfall Seljalandsfoss, where visitors can walk behind the cascading water and take a walk to the hidden gem Gljúfrabúi the 4th. waterfall on this tour.
