In front of the glacier, a beautiful glacial lagoon forms which, during the winter, on very cold days, freezes completely. Experience this captivating icy landscape with deep crevasses, water cauldrons and striking views. After being equipped with crampons, helmets and ice axe you will head up to the foot of the glacier where you will be getting a safety briefing, introduction in how to put on the glacier crampons on your hiking boots and how you use the Ice ax before hitting the slope of the glacier. Then your adventure starts as you hike up the glacier to explore and experience this frozen wonderland with white snow, clear and blue ice and black ashes from volcanic eruptions, deep crevasses, water cauldrons and sometimes even winding ice caves.
